Biski Jetski Motorcycle. What is this? A amphibious motorbike. Kiwi entrepreneur Gibbs has built this two-wheeled and also a three-wheeled motorcycle that you can ride straight down a boat ramp into the water. Touch the button the bike switches to jet propulsion. The switch from road mode to water mode is done in less than 5 seconds. Steering is via jets on either side of the wheel.
Biski is street legal amphibious motorcycle with a 55-horsepower, twin cylinder engine that’s capable of 80 mph on the road and 37 mph on the water.
Due to regulations apparently the bike boat combination is cheaper to build. There is no price quoted yet, but its coming.
Biski Manufacturers description
The Biski is truly unique; as a single seat (or single plus pillion), twin jet, HSA Motorcycle, it is a world’s first in many ways. At just 2.3m long and under 1m wide, it is the smallest of all Gibbs High speed amphibious platforms, and very probably the most technically advanced. It represents true freedom for the individual; serious fun.
High Speed Amphibian (HSA) Technology simply allows our amphibians to drive on land and plane on water. GIBBS Amphibians (GIBBS) has invested in a group of different technologies that make HSAs a reality. The cutting edge in automotive and marine technologies have been fused with GIBBS’ own developments. These advances include water jets, hulls and suspensions systems among many others. At GIBBS we make amphibians evolved.
