Blackout Curtains

Blackout Curtains for privacy and temperature control. How often do you wish to cover the hatch to stop light coming in? You could put an exterior cover over the hath or you could use hacth roller blinds like these from Ocean.

But these blinds from waterline design in Sweden can be retrofitted and installed from the inside. They have blinds for hatches, port lights, and Companionways.

Blackout curtain for hatches

Manufacturers Comments

Easy mounting with suction cup on the hatch. The curtain for the foredeck hatch reflects both cold and warm air and contributes to a considerably more steady and pleasant indoor climate. You can decide for yourself when it is time to get up in the morning. Consequently your sleep will be undisturbed and of better quality. Take the opportunity to rest properly when you have the time off! Mount the curtain with its suction cup within a second. Universal size which fits most windows on the market up to the inside dimension 520 x 520 mm (20 x 20 inches). The curtain prevents from peering inside the boat which also reduces the risk of burglary. On deep hatches we use an extension cord that comes with the package and on fiberglass hatches you need to mount a little plastic plate for the suction cup to attach on (accessory art nr 1542). When not used the curtain is folded and stored in the included storage bag, 1/3 of the size.
