With Fuel costs playing a large role in todays boating, reducing fuel consumption is playing becoming more important. Navman have in their instrument range a fuel monitor. The 3100 sensor is easily inserted into the fuel line, it should be attached high in the fuel line near vertical and in line with the fuel flowing into the engine.

Connect the sensor to the 3100 fuel display and you can visualize fuel consumption. We know that certain RPMs offer better fuel efficiency and detecting that point is easy with the 3100. You can play around with boat trim also to improve fuel economy. The display is similar in look to the rest of the 3100 instrument range from Navman.

This important information allows you to determine the optimum throttle and trim settings for single and twin engine boats. This will save you money on fuel and minimize long-term engine wear by running your engines at their most efficient settings.

Diagnosing engine faults and propeller damage is easy by comparing economy values over time. When used in twin-engine installations, the FUEL 3100 allows you to compare the individual flow rates of each engine to achieve maximum synchronization.
