Suunto upgraded the version of the X9i compass, GPS watch, with the new X10. The X10 is a small and light GPS watch with compass, altimeter, barometer and thermometer.

The cool thing with this watch, apart from the name, is being able to track your route and then download it into Google earth or other navigation software. “After converting your Suunto X10 logs with Suunto Track Exporter, you can share your adventures with anyone who uses Google Earth,” explains Suunto Outdoor Product Manager Petteri Hernelahti. “You can save your tracks in Google Earth, and then email them to friends or family, or post them on a website or blog for downloading.“

You can download the details of your trip onto Google Earth or software like “ Memory Map ”

New Suunto X10 features improved tracking, faster performance and longer battery life

The Suunto X10 includes all the features of the popular X9i, one of the smallest and lightest wrist-mounted GPS devices, but with performance upgrades to make it faster, more powerful and more dependable than ever before.

The Suunto X10 includes an altimeter, barometer, digital compass, thermometer, and an extensive memory, as well as the usual time/stopwatch functions. Combining all of these functions into a sleek, sporty wristop computer not only enhances safety, but also adds a whole new dimension to the outdoor experience.

The Suunto X10 is compatible with several digital mapping services across the world, including National Geographic TOPO!, Google Earth" and Fugawi. With Suunto Track Exporter PC software, route planning and waypoint programming is fast, accurate and simple. Users can plan their routes on a digital map and download routes directly onto the Suunto X10 or print out their own customized maps. The Suunto Track Exporter PC software also allows users to export "tracks" from their GPS units to Google Earth", where they can view their adventures anywhere on the globe with real satellite imagery.
